Friends For Football has been organized to find youth who love the game of football but because of financial circumstances are unable to pay the sign up fees for organized leagues. We want to provide these young men with the opportunity to play in their local leagues while learning life skills that will enable them to achieve success in life on and off the field.

Unlike any other sport, football is the ultimate team sport. Not every player on the field touches the ball. On each play you are dependant on your teammates as they are dependant on you. No sport has more people on the field at once all executing their role for a single play and one purpose.

Each day these youth practice football, they practice these teachings. A team environment is unlike any other. Learning how to work within a team and as a team is a valuable lesson. Sacrifices must be made and challenges must be met head on. Football is a sport that requires much from the individual but in return teaches that individual so much about himself.

We want each participant to enjoy the excitement of the game itself while forming a foundation of these principles. As a result, it will help them build for success in anything they pursue.

Friends for Football believes that by supplying these young men with the financial support to play in their local leagues, we are supplying them with an activity that will strengthen their character. We feel that participation not only gives the youth the chance to enjoy the game of football, but it provides an increased opportunity for something good in a world where that opportunity can be difficult.
